Accuse, charge, indict

  1. They were accused of murder.
  2. They were charged with murder.
  3. They were indicted for murder (AmE, law) = They were indicted on charges of murder (AmE, law).
  4. We accused them of constantly lying to us.
  5. To accuse somebody of murder, manslaughter, fraud, theft, robbery, armed robbery, bank robberies, arson, a crime, crimes, hijacking a plane, kidnapping/abducting a child, stealing someone else’s ideas, doing something wrong, lying, etc.
